Short Bio

I was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1966 and graduated from department of Engineering Sciences in METU in Ankara and MBA in EMU in Cyprus. I took courses on Photography in Central Saint Martins College, London and graduated from ‘Photography and Camera Operation’ in Anadolu University. I represented my country in Bashkortostan Photographers Meeting. I have been chosen ‘The Best Performing Photographer of the Year’ in 2014 in Cyprus. I had the dual exhibition ‘Exotic Morocco’ in 2014. My documentary ‘The Years in Between’ have been chosen to be screened in 2. Documentary Photography Days in Istanbul, and also in Batman, Eskisehir and Mersin, the cities in Turkey in 2015. The same documentary has been awarded the First Place in moving images documentary category and Second Place in general moving images category in Moscow International Foto Awards and also gold medal in Documentary Moving Images in Tokyo International Photo Awards. I was invited to Berlin Fine Art and Documentary Biennial in 2016. I am also invited for a solo exhibition in Paphos in Cyprus for the Month of Photography, a group exhibition in Villach, Austria, a dual exhibition in Vienna, Austria and a solo exhibition in Uppsala, Sweden in 2017. I participated in the "Join the Dots" Imago Mundi Project in Italy and "Salon d’Automne" exhibitions in Cyprus in 2018. I was invited to the 'Images as a Tool of Change' in European Humanist Forum 2018 in Spain as a speaker.
